      Thank you

To all of the brothers at Clyde lodge #1056 I would like to thank each and every one for the gracious welcome that all have given me! You have made feel like I have been a part of this fraternity for many years even though it's only been a short time. The friendship and kindness that has been given to me is a great example of how masons should live and act, and encourage me to work hard and follow those examples.

I was raised on November 8, 2008 and the ceremony performed by the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Team was memorable and it marks a day in which I follow 3 generations of my family in the practice of Free Masonry. I will strive to be a good mason and continue to learn as much as I can in my life time as a mason. I will strive to help those who are in need and help them have a better life.

I can think of no better a group brothers to have helping me learn about masonry and helping me as I go through life than my brothers at Clyde Lodge # 1056.

Thank you for helping me become A Free Mason!

Thank You

I was raised on Friday Aug. 17, 2007 @ Clyde Lodge #1056, TX.
This was truly a Memorable evening. I am in no way an emotional man, however, that night was especially humbling and brought tears to my eyes. And for one brief moment I was speechless. There are a few times I can recall where that happened. Like the births of my two children, my wedding and my baptism.
In my lifetime I have seen many things, good and bad, as I’m sure many people have. Even at a young age, my life was trying. As I have always said, “Everyone has had a hard life, just ask them.” Fortunately, as a child and young adult I have had many people along the way guide me. My father more especially. realizing, the older I become “How the tables turn”. Having a family of my own and running a business with other great families’ livelihoods at stake, I felt I could do more. I felt obligated to better myself as much as I could.
Religion, for many is a wonderful outlet and inlet for life. However, for me, this desire is beyond :religion”, (not beyond God, but religion) I was hungry for a connection with my fellow man. For I feel this will be the closest to God I can become, here on earth. For we are Gods creation “his likeness”. After some time praying and reading, I found it. It was Freemasonry. And to this day I’m sure that I am not fully aware of how “right on” I was. For I am at the tip of an iceberg. In reading about members through out history and what they accomplished in their lifetime, and combining that with men I knew to be masons in my own community, I was hooked. How can so many great and honorable men be off?

This is the greater purpose that I was so hungry for. A fellowship tested through out time and among great men. This is a fellowship that would allow “me” to be enlighten, to better myself. In my short time as a Mason I am learning already, that enlightenment has to be first sought out and the maintained. Things are what you make of them, so I will make the most of them. This is what Masonry, along with my faith in God is giving me, a road map to become a better husband, father, son, employer, and servant of God.

I am a Freemason.

Thank you brothers of Clyde Lodge #1056!
